CLOSING GATHERING FOR CONSTRUCTION, OCCUPATION

The curatorial team and I are delighted to invite everyone to the closing gathering for our exhibition Construction, Occupation on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fowler Museum at UCLA. This exhibition has been a wonderful point of connection between so many people—artists, students, community organizers, and scholars—and we’re super happy to celebrate its final day together in wonderful community.

Construction, Occupation was recently the subject of a feature in Artforum, which has further amplified the discussions the project seeks to articulate. The closing event will feature a curatorial walkthrough of the exhibition, as well as an opportunity to receive the exhibition catalog, free of charge on the day.

The finissage will offer time for informal conversation, reflections on the collaborations that shaped the project, and space to think together about art, collective imagination, and just social futures that Construction, Occupation brings into focus.

Location: Fowler Museum at UCLA
Date and time: Saturday, January 10 at 1:00 PM
